Emma St John is a Summer Intern and Part-Time Patient Coordinator at Ascend Psychiatry & Wellness, working alongside Kayla Johnson to support our patients and daily practice operations.
Emma attends the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she studies Business Communications with a minor in Forensics. Her passion for mental health is personal, having seen friends and family members navigate their own challenges. Those experiences have given her a genuine appreciation for the importance of compassionate and accessible mental health care.
At Ascend, Emma has gained hands-on experience in patient coordination, HIPAA and compliance, conflict management, patient communication, and the day-to-day dynamics of a healthcare practice.
Outside of work and school, Emma loves art, music, and dance. She enjoys connecting with people and is excited to continue learning while making a positive difference for the patients and families we serve.
